High-Level Thoughts

Fast read that describes life in a fun way with moral lessons. The story surrounds a high school reunion and has characters from all walks of life from business professionals to C-level executives. Would recommend reading this book with others to hear their interpretations.

It is not what is in the story but how you interpret it and apply it to your own situation that gives it value.

Summary Notes

Keep things simple. When faced with change human emotions and complex analysis complicate things.

Noticing small changes early helps you adapt to the bigger changes that are to come. Being aware of small changes leads you to be aware of the inevitable. There are hints of change everywhere as we are always in a constant state of change.

Imagine the change. The more you see and believe the image of change, the more you gravitate to that place. Move with your vision.

Enjoy change. You feel best when you are moving along. Keep moving in a new direction. Savor the adventure and enjoy the taste of new cheese. The fastest way to change is to laugh at your own folly.

Be Ready to change. The biggest inhibitor to change lies within yourself, and nothing gets better until you change. That’s life! Life moves on and so should we.

Fear is natural, but don’t let it stop you. The fear you let build up in your mind is worse than the situation that exists. When you are afraid things are going to get worse if you don’t do something, it can prompt you into action. But it is not good when you are so afraid that it keeps you from doing anything.

Group change. An organization can only change when enough people in it change.

Share with others. “He said, ’I’m very glad you found the story so useful and I hope that you will have the opportunity to share it with others soon.’”
